NZ new Landcruisers unaffected by recall
Toyota New Zealand says drivers of NZ-New Land Cruiser here in New Zealand are not affected by an overseas recall of LC100 models.
Paul Carroll, general manager after sales, says “The version sold here was not specified with the active steering system used in vehicles being recalled, so owners here have no cause for concern.”
Toyota is working with the New Zealand Transport Agency to identify if any used imported Land Cruisers from the affected production period are on the roads here.
“If there are, the owners will be contacted and the vehicles repaired free of charge,” Carroll says.

I have two NZ Titles for Car Racing and found it very difficult to control my 2009 model
It jumped all over the road when cornering.
This latest model has different specifications made for the Australian off road market and they just do not handle.
Coupled with that the oil light came on twice,I also had a new Comupter and drivesaft within 5000kms.
Plus it is sold as a six speed yet you can't get it to go into that gear, unless you are doing well over the speed limit and the workshop Manager could not get it to do in at all.
I did put in a complaint to Toyota Head Office but didn't receive a response.
